Our commitment to taste
So we can maintain the quality flavor of rice, we store it in dry warehouses at a constant and low temperature throughout the year. And when it is ready to be shipped, just before sending to the customer, we process the rice into ordinary polished white rice or “rinse-free rice” which can be eaten without rising beforehand.
When we clean the harvested rice, it produces rice bran as a by-product. We ferment the bran and turn it into pellets. These pellets are then put back into the rice fields as fertilizer.
This unique process of recycling the organic waste product rice bran was invented in the Akita village of Ogata. And over many years of trial and error, we have continually refined this process in the fertile soils of the area.
